Eating Well in Montreal
I’m in love with this illustration series featured on Saveur Magazine’s website. Things like this make me appreciate the city I live in so much more! Chicago-based artist Sarah Becan illustrated her experiences and the amazing food she encountered on her recent trip to Montreal. She visited the Plateau, Le Quartier Chinois, Boulevard Saint-Laurent and many other landmarks. This piece makes me want to rediscover some of my favorite spots in the city.
Apparently Joe Beef restaurant was named after Charles McKiernan, who during the Crimean War was so good at sneaking food for his regiment, that he earned the nickname “Joe Beef”. Mind. Blown.
